HAPI oversees a national network of providers of after-school programs set in affordable rental communities.
Our education programs include:
- Supporting the National Learning Cohort for Academic Success, ten members in six states with a vision to have students living in affordable housing at grade level in both reading and math.
- Offering training through webinars on programming and online software.
- Measuring common metrics to evaluate reading and math proficiency.

After School Programs
Housing as a Platform for Academic Success (HPAS)
The Housing as a Platform for Academic Success Program (HPAS) seeks to build a culture of academic success in affordable rental communities and surrounding neighborhoods. HPAS enrolls students in residentially-based programs to support school and reading proficiency. HAPI partners with NeighborWorks America to provide support in affordable housing communities for students K-12. Together, we aspire to have all students attending our after-school programs reading at grade level, an early indicator of lifetime success.
The innovative program offers participating students:
- A safe and fun learning environment at their rental community
- Homework help and tutoring focused on math and reading
- Access to standard language arts technology to help your student read at or above grade level
